We now have a slightly less useless site for all of your information-seeking needs. I will continue to update this page, but for all the latest info, and bunches of other stuff, please go to our new page.
Here is everything you need to know about the event in a nutshell:
- Thrill The World is an annual worldwide simultaneous dance of Michael Jackson's "Thriller" for world records and charity.
- Somerville Thrill The World is being held as a benefit to the Somerville Community Corporation.
- The event is taking place on Saturday October 24th.
- It will take place at the Unity Church of God on the corner of Somerville Ave and William Street in Davis Square.
- If you don't already know the choreography, arrive at 3:00 pm for a workshop. If you do already know it, arrive at 5:30pm.
- There will be a small registration fee (around $5), which will go to the Somerville Community Corporation
- Everyone should download the pledge form and raise some money for the cause. I recommend a personal goal of $100, which really is only $5 from 20 people. You could do it in an afternoon!
- If you come with pledges, we will waive the registration fee and automatically enter you in the raffle to win sweet gift certificates to local restaurants and shops.
- There will be prizes for the people who raise the top three amounts in pledges
- Learn the dance online from step-by-step instructional videos or in person at World Rhythms Dance & Fitness or from me in my back yard (see our site for details)
